Buttock Enhancement Options New York City and New Jersey

Dr. John Mesa, MD performs multiple types of buttock enhancement in New Jersey and New York City, each one designed to address specific needs. Depending on your individual goals, Dr. Mesa may recommend:

  • Fat Transfer: If your buttocks could simply use some volume, they can be increased in their size with fat obtained from other areas of your own body using liposuction. Patients get an added benefit from this 2-step technique, since the first step is to remove excess fat from other parts of the body. The second step is to take that fat, which has been collected and processed, and inject it into the buttocks, where it will now enhance – rather than detract from – an ideal contour. The fat used for this type of buttock augmentation can be collected from a variety of traditional problem areas, such as the abdomen, flanks and thighs.
  • Gluteal implants: If your buttocks could simply use some volume, Dr. Mesa may choose to increase their size with fat obtained from other areas of your own body using liposuction. However, there is a group of very fit woman that have no fat deposits in the body that can be used as source of fat for buttock fat grafting. In these patients, Gluteal implants are the solution to augment and enhance the buttock area. Dr. John Mesa knows how to place implants through a single, well-hidden incision that, when healed, nobody will ever see with the single exception of your proctologist. In most cases, the implant is placed inside the buttock muscle and fat so it’s there to stay. Plus, there’s no danger of breaking and leaking because the implants are made of semi-solid silicone. After all, you sit on not the implants, but on the bones designed to support your weight. The actual implants are placed up higher in the buttocks.
  • Surgical Lift: Patients whose buttocks have adequate volume but have a sagging or flattened look may be good candidates for a surgical Lift. This procedure can redistribute fat and lifts drooping buttocks as well as address surface imperfections. The result is a smooth, rounded and evenly toned backside.
  • Fat Transfer/Surgical Lift Combination: For patients who want fuller buttocks but also have imperfections of shape and tone that require correction, Dr. John Mesa, MD can combine the fat transfer procedure with a surgical butt lift. Performed during one operation, these 2 techniques can work together to increase volume while doing away with sagging, folds and other contour irregularities. The result is a smoother, curvier backside that will enhance your silhouette as well as the fit of your jeans.

Why not go to an Obstetrician, Gynecologists, Internists, Primary Care Physician Dentists and “cosmetologists” for a buttock enhancement?

Practitioners like Internist, Obstetricians or Gynecologist and other doctors who are not formally residency-trained and Board Certified to perform buttock enhancement have been found to suffer a much higher rate of complications, as it’s a side interest to them, and not a treatment they’re certified to do all day long. One of the most common complaints is minimal improvement, asymmetries, etc.

Only a licensed professional with the knowledge, training and skills required to achieve optimum results should perform buttock enhancement. Look for a plastic surgeon who is Board Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and who has completed his training at some of the top residency and fellowship institutions.
