How does Obagi Nu Derm work?
Each step of the Obagi Nu Derm Skin Restoration System has been designed to restore your damaged skin and to give it a rejuvenated appearance. Each step of the Obagi Nu Derm System works as follows:
Step 1: Mild, gentle cleanser removes impurities and leaves skin clean and fresh, or Foaming gel – based cleanser is used to help with even the oiliest skin.
Step 2: Toner: lowers the Ph of the skin is applied that allows for greater penetration of the upcoming use of the system ingredients.
Step 3: Clear: a topical prescription treatment that contains 4% hydroquinone to target hyperpigmentation (discolored) areas of the skin.
Step 4: Exfoderm, a plant acid is applied. This removes old skin cells. It also promotes new skin cells for a brighter complexion. Exfoderm Forte, an alpha hydroxyl acid 96% glycolic acid, 4% lactic acid that removes skin cells and promotes new skin cells and a firmer complexion is applied.
Step 5: Blender, a topical prescription treatment that contains 4% hydroquinone to target hyperpigmentation (discolored) areas of the skin. This increases the penetration of the active ingredients into your skin. Tretinoin, this is a topical prescription, to be used only as directed.
Step 6: Hydrate: a Medical grade moisturizer that provides long-lasting hydration for all-day moisture protection. It contains Hydromanil, a technologically advanced ingredient, which retains water and gradually delivers moisture to the skin.
